Jennifer Tenace’s paintings have evolved over the years from expressive representational to what some would label as abstract. Drawing from her love of play and building much of her work focuses on nature and what it means to be at home.
Growing up in a small town in Maryland near the Catoctin Mountains, she developed an attachment to the outdoors and a longing to travel. This connection has remained as she continues to explore areas of the deserts and mountains throughout the Southwest. Her passion for nature resonates with her spiritually as she sees all life as inter-connected, and how important it is to care for everything and everyone as a whole.
Jennifer Tenace attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and the Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, CA from which she earned her fine arts degree.
